This is an advance training workshop for those photographers who are looking to diversify their book, and take it to the next level. You’re all probably familiar with the basic structure and workflow of all the numerous tutorials and other workshops out there, this workshop will teach you how to now create that personal look to your own style and liking. Also, you will be learning creative ways and cost effective solutions to how produce cheap efficient shoots that looks professional and effective for clients work scenarios without having to spend huge budgets for portfolio and test shoots.
This special workshop will be held early summer May 24th & 25th, when the season is warm and perfect for outdoors. We’ll be mainly shooting all natural-ambient light, that will give the result of studio condition lighting, without the need for studio or lighting at all!
This workshop is meant to show you how to think and create your own signature look, without being stuck to a cookie cutter process that render your shots and style looking like everyone else’s. Learning the procedure from shoot to post processing, getting your thought process to streamline even before the shoot. Able to prepare yourself for any un-expected event that may arise, and how to handle the situation or in last resort be able to recover in posts as well.
Here are some examples you’ll be shooting:
That’s correct, all the following shoots was done without the use of studio or any lighting. And the materials and props it costs to setup for the following shoots can be done for around or less than $150 (for each individual concept), which materials can be re-use again and again.
Here’s a gallery of hi-res for you to check out: Gallery

This will be a 2 days workshop
- Time procedure to follow the natural light of the day
- Different techniques and how to look for the light
- Other factors such as do’s and don’ts advice
- We’ll be reviewing shots from day before
- This will be an advance editing session where I will show you how to finely tune and prep your images through ACR (Adobe Camera RAW, Lightroom is fine too), before going into Photoshop for the clean-up. Also, I will also reveal you my secret on how to tone and color your images, specifically to your taste and liking to get that unique look and custom signature to your style.
(NOTE: I will have my personal editing station, to instruct and have everyone follow along on. With a 3rd screen projected onto a larger overhead wall/screen for everyone to watch easily. I recommend for you to bring your computers/laptops to work alongside and be as hands on as much as possible with the editing. There will be plenty of tables and chairs for you to setup and power your laptops and/or workstations if desired. We’ll be working in my secondary studio next door, air-conditioned and lounge friendly. :) )
You will also be taking home a complete video tutorial set (screen capture) of the editing/retouching session that day, for you to review and go back in case you miss anything. Please bring a hard drive or large enough flash drive (roughly about 20gb allotted space), for me to offload the footage for you. Otherwise I’ll have spare drives available at additional costs, depending on how much I pick them up at the stores for.
I will cap attendance at 15, with 3 major sets setup for 3 groups to rotate.
Sorry, I lied. There’ll be 4 setups, the 4th is a surprise revealed for attendees only upon sign-ups.
